In the tapestry of classical music, Aroma Duo weaves a narrative that is as authentic as it is enchanting. Cellist Johnny Mok and pianist Tianhong Yang, each a master of their craft, unite to form an ensemble that resonates with warmth and sophistication. Since their inception in 2019, they have captivated audiences around the globe, earning acclaim for performances that blend the traditional with the contemporary.

The duo's 2023 journey was marked by memorable performances, including a revered appearance at Carnegie Hall during their New England Spring Tour. This sense of connection continued across the seas during their Asia Summer Tour, where they performed in the culturally rich cities of Nanjing and Macao, celebrating the universal language of music with each community they touched.

Johnny Mok, with a cello that speaks in rich tones and a presence that enchants, hails from Hong Kong. His performances, known for their heartfelt expression, have graced many a stage, including as a guest artist in France’s Rencontres Musicales de Noyer, Italy's Orvieto Musica Chamber Music Festival, and Portugal’s Verão Classico. His dedication to nurturing the talents of young musicians is evident in his teaching roles in New England-area colleges.

Tianhong Yang's piano artistry is characterized by its clarity and emotive power. From her UK debut in Desingle in Antwerp, Belgium; BBC Hoddinott Hall in Cardiff, UK; Auditorio Sony in Madrid, Spain, among other stages across Europe and Asia, her performances are celebrated for their finesse and sensitivity. Beyond the stage, she imparts her knowledge and passion to her students as a dedicated faculty member at Plymouth State University.
